Subject: "Embracing Our Gifts" - The Refining Part 3B

Dear Friends and Intercessors,

I typically use this section to tell you about an arm of the ministry, CedarWood, Joel’s Army, upcoming events, etc. Yesterday, the unction of the Lord came upon me and He changed the direction of this letter. Please prayerfully read as I share what the Lord placed on my heart for you.

This is an urgent call to prayer for our President! Never has he needed more prayer than today. Perhaps you dedicate many hours per week to praying for President Trump, and for that, the Lord is pleased. However, more intercession is needed, more intercessors are needed.

The Word of God instructs us to pray for our leaders and for those who obey, a promise is given:

“I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty” (1 Timothy 2:1-2, KJV).

Unfortunately, too many in the Church are not heeding this command. Unbeknownst to them, they are accomplishing just the opposite when they speak against him. As believers, when we speak against someone, we release curses against them. May the Lord forgive us…

I’ve shared this passage from Timothy before, but in truth, it bears repeating:

When Paul penned his letters to Timothy, it was during one of Rome’s darkest hours. Emperor Nero was the head of the vast Roman Empire and he’d given the order for the brutal extinction of the Christians. Men, women, and children were fed to the lions for sport on a regular basis. Men and women were coated with oil, then set ablaze to serve as light for the dark Roman streets each and every night. These agonizing screams filled the streets day and night to serve as a constant reminder of what awaited those who maintained their allegiance to Christ.

Yes, when Paul pressed the Church to pray for their leaders, martyrdom was at an all-time high. I can honestly declare that few leaders in history compare to the brutality of Emperor Nero. Yet, Paul instructed them to pray for their leaders. Why? Perhaps you think without the news and social media, he was unware of what was taking place in Rome. Not so my friends, Paul was imprisoned there and witnessed the brutality even from the hole in the ground in the middle of the prison, the hole from which he was dragged and flogged on a regular basis. Fear filled the prison as believers awaited their turn to die. Paul knew. Were it not for their hope in eternity with Christ, many would surely have denied Him out of sheer terror of what awaited them.

Paul understood that God can change the heart of Kings (Proverbs 21:1) and out of obedience, we must obey His Word and pray for them. As believers, the Word of God is to be our guide and our commission is to pray for our leaders. Regardless of our personal preferences or who we voted for, we must pray for our leaders.

God has spoken, He said to increase our intercessions for Trump. We pray as a staff for him, we pray on the corporate line for him, our Joel’s Army Prayer points have several points designed for prayer over Trump. In addition, God is telling other prophets how crucial it is that we raise up intercessors to pray for Trump. This is a serious call; one we must heed if our Nation is to be saved.

Why does Trump need our prayers so badly right now? The enemy’s camp surrounds him, they engage in political, spiritual, and literal warfare to remove him from his post. One of their greatest weapons against him is the public as they release lie after lie through mainstream media and the public simply eats it up, then spews it out – from believers these come as curses against our President. Proverbs 18:21 says “Death and life are in the power of the tongue; and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” What does that mean? Our words cause damage to those we speak against – life and death are in the power of the tongue. When we are cautious with our words, we will reap the blessings – they shall eat the fruit thereof. We need to seek God for truth, not man, not the media.

I remind you, the post President Trump holds is a post granted him by the Lord God almighty. He carries the mantle of Cyrus. A mantle to mend nations, to protect and restore Israel, and to bring the United States into a place of fatherhood to the Nations. Were it not for the intercessions of the saints, Trump would not have been elected. Were it not for his election, our nation’s fate would have been sealed and we would certainly be thrust into the salacious hands of the elite with our decent into third-world status secured in their grip. Today, they rise against Trump in an all-out effort to destroy the work he’s doing, the work commissioned by God.

Why is it that we as believers should pray for Trump? First and foremost, He is chosen by God to stand as President of the United States of America. This is the highest post in the land, and when God hand-picks someone, you stand on the side of the Lord. Second, the Word tells us to pray for our leaders (1 Tim 2: 1-2) Third, Ephesians 6:12 tells us that we “do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” The enemy of our soul never ceases to war against a Nation that serves God. Our battle-ground is in the prayer closet, on our knees, weeping and warring on behalf of our President and our Nation! The prayer closet is where the highest battles are won!

Finally, why Trump? He seems like a bull in a china shop, right? Have you ever watched a video of a bull in a china shop? They maneuver it with the skill and grace of a gazelle. Every shelf, every cup, every platter left unscathed as they navigate the maze set before them. Trump was created strong enough to take out the enemy with the speed and grace of a gazelle. He is navigating through the maze of delicate tableware set before him to achieve his purpose for existing. The Lord knew he’d fight for that delicate china, guarding and protecting it as necessary.

Who are the “china” in this scenario? The children of our nation. Those with unspeakable value yet, absolutely no defense. Those with little outward strength, but immense inner potential. With the increase in human trafficking, child sacrifice, the failing educational system, and the “me” society we live in, the odds were certainly stacked against them. However, the Lord in His mercy, in His great love for the innocent, compelled Donald J. Trump to come forward and protect them with all that is within him. God is the great defender of the children, and Trump will be their champion as he grips their innocence from the nefarious hands of the elite.

Who are the “elite”? The Illuminati, the instigators of the progressive movement, those who promote war and live on the wealth these activities bring. They prey on the innocent, the most delicate of our society, our precious china – our children. We are called to shape and mold the minds of our children. Yet, on a daily basis, these elite strive to pass laws that rip them from their mother’s wombs, enslave their minds, seek their bodies, and even spill their precious blood as a sacrifice to Moloch. Through their efforts, they serve Satan and in turn, he gives them power and wealth. Yes, we truly wrestle against principalities and powers, the rulers of darkness of this age. (Eph 6:12)

Friends we are in a war; let us not forget our greatest weapon is that of prayer! Let us go to our knees, heeding the instruction of our God, and wage war in the heavenlies on behalf of our President, our precious children, and our Nation! This is an urgent call to prayer for our President, will you heed His voice? Our schedule and call in numbers are located in the blue sidebar, see you there!

Much love,

Ricci Wilson

Upcoming Events!

Training our Intercessors:

Part of our work here at World for Jesus Ministries involves training up of the Joel’s Army of Intercessors. How? Through teaching, national corporate prayer calls, Joel’s Army Rally’s, and working closely with those who join our Joel’s Army PC groups. We strive to prepare the intercessors to engage fully as a weapon of warfare!

This is the season of the intercessor my friends! Whether you sort of understand what that means or know full well what’s involved in the call of the intercessor, you are welcome here as we seek to prepare the Lord’s army to go forth in the land. Joel 2 teaches us the critical nature of intercession and the fruit it will bear in the days ahead. As the people repent before God on behalf of their land, He will release His mercy and His blessings upon His children! This is the desire of His heart, to rain His mercy down upon His people and bring forth blessings upon those who serve Him with a whole heart.

Kin & Debbie Clark are working with our NE/MA Coordinator Cynthia Timpany to host a Joel’s Army Rally in the New England-Boston areas. Click here for more information or to register for the Rally!

Portland Gathering of the Eagles! We’ve just added more rooms to our room block! Portland will bring with it a powerful impartation into the intercessors as well as the nation. The Refining

Part 3B

"Embracing Our Gifts"

By Ricci Wilson

In Romans chapter 11, Paul is instructing this young church to not to fight over whether they are Jews or Gentiles, circumcised or uncircumcised but instead, to remember they are grafted together in Christ. In Romans 12, Paul talks about the gifts of the Spirit; these are the gifts used in ministry, intended to edify the Body of Christ.

Let’s compare this with 1 Corinthians 12. Here, Paul teaches that we are each member of one Body, we have diverse gifts to use for the express purpose of edifying the Body of Christ. Our gifts are not ours; they are not to be used to control or harm others nor are they to be used to benefit us personally. Our gifts should not bring division; they are not something we flaunt. Our gifts—whatever gifts He gives each of us—need to be held onto, treasured, refined, and used with the understanding that that gift was given to us to edify the Body of Christ. Consider whether it builds, encourages, or strengthens the body of Christ.

In I Corinthians 12:12-27, Paul discusses the members of the Body and how important each member is to the Body of Christ as a whole – no matter how big or how small it is. The significance of each individual part to the Body of Christ is beyond measure. Paul’s example: “Do the eyes say, I have no need for the foot?” Of course not! No member is more important or less important than another. Even those parts that we see as insignificant, God sees as crucial enough to compel Paul to use it as an example to teach the Corinthians their individual significance to the Body as a whole. Why do I have this ear lobe? So I can tug on it when I’m nervous? What about my pinky? So I can grab hold of and hang onto things with a much tighter grip? Each member has a purpose.

In Romans 12, Paul explains further why each person has the gift that they have:

“I BESEECH you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching; Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness. Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another.”

The Chapter continues with instructions on how to live a life wherein we would be able “to present our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God, which is our reasonable service.” (Romans 12:1) This is our call.

In Romans 12:6 Paul says: “Having then, gifts differing according to the grace given us…” That word “grace” is such a beautiful word. “Grace” is the same word used in Romans 12:3 and it means “the divine ability and capacity due to the grace of God.” A divine ability and capacity to accomplish His will, according to the grace of God. Even the gifts He gave us to edify the Body were given with the grace to function in the capacity the gift requires. If we are to be a prophet, He has given us the grace to function in that capacity. If we are to be a teacher, He has given us the grace—the ability to function—as a teacher. If it is the gift of service, He has given us precisely the amount of grace we need to function in that capacity. This is how God works.

When we have someone gifted in the realm of “service,” but if they suddenly decide they want to be a prophet and step out into that role, they are going to fall on their face time and time again. Why? Because there is a specific training process we must go through to function at full capacity under the gift God bestows upon us. Depending upon where we’ve walked in the past and where God plans for us to walk in the future, we will need a deep refining to prepare us to operate in the capacity we’ve been created to walk in. Why? So we can function as the particular member within the Body of Christ that we’ve been created to function in. The heart cannot just jump out of our chest and say, “I think I am going to become a liver.” If they did a transplant and moved the heart into the place of our liver, it’s simply not going to work. The heart has been created to function as a heart, to pump our blood through our body and to pump oxygen through our body and all the way out to our toes and finger tips.

We are created to function as a particular member within the Body of Christ; this is by God’s design. If we step outside that function, not only will we step outside of our abilities but we will incur frustration, resentment, and most importantly, we will go against the will of God for our lives and not succeed.

For example, there are those who are natural born leaders and wherever they go—it is not as though they take charge, they simply function as a leader—there is a gifting as a leader. People are drawn to them for direction; people are drawn to them for leadership and when a crisis arises, they arise equipped to make those hard, quick decisions. Why? Because, they can see the big picture. They can assess situations and bring resolutions. There is something about a leader that draws people to them, to help them function in the capacity that they have been created to function. If someone with a gift of a serving attempts to step into the role of leadership, they will sense the struggle within because their gifting focuses on the smaller details involving the people of the organization. They often don’t want to give out orders. Instead, they feel a sense of safety in the boundaries set forth on their behalf by the delegated leader.

God creates within each of us a certain ability and we are to function in that capacity. There are certain people that are very analytical; they make very good researchers, because they can process information and apply it accordingly. They are detail-oriented, so zeroing in on a topic comes easy for them. There are certain people that have been created to encourage. They tend to be very empathetic and are sensing people who can easily transition into the role of a comforter, encourager, and their presence offers strength to others without wearing on them.

Which is the best intercessor? Today, anyone can be an intercessor. Why? Because the season of the intercessor is NOW. God is raising up intercessors within every office and every talent because we are birthing something in the nations that must come forth now. Intercessors can feel the Holy Spirit and the move of God in a very unique way. All can pursue this office.

God has given to each a measure of grace, the ability or capacity to function within the Body of Christ. When we step outside those boundaries we end up in chaos and it effects the body as a whole. We are living in a time where God is refining us; He is preparing us for a powerful release. He is preparing us to rise up out of this year a new breed of believers. If we cannot come to a place where we can function in the capacity that God has created us to function, we are going to be stumbling around at the end of this year. I encourage you to press in and find your place.

To be continued next week…

Blessings and Love,

Ricci Johnson-Wilson
