Subject: "Decision... decision" & special GOE next week!

Dear Friends and Intercessors!

Today I was sitting before the Lord and I just kept hearing “Decision, decision” over and over.

It’s true, for many, the conundrum of decision, decision, really stands before them. Especially those who spend a great deal of time watching or listening to media sources instead of seeking the face of God for answers.

I get it. We all feel it, we are two weeks away from the most critical election of our day. How difficult is the decision? Really? A couple weeks ago I shared that the Church is supposed to be the restrainer of evil in our day. So, in this epic battle of good vs evil, we are supposed to stand on the side of good and fight against evil. Right?

How? We do this through prayer and by our actions.

We as a ministry will increase our prayer times and we encourage you to join us. Many are even fasting.

What about restraining through action? How do we restrain evil through our actions? We exercise our civic duty to vote. If the 90 million self-professed evangelical Christians would get out and vote, we would completely turn the tide in our nation. As it stands, nearly half of that 90 million plan to “sit this one out.” A portion of those who are voting plan to vote for a candidate who literally imprisoned a reporter who exposed planned parenthood for selling baby body parts.

So yes, restraining evil through our vote is a very real thing today.

Friends, we really do have a responsibility before God to engage in the nation in which we live. The Lord told us in Luke 19:13 to occupy until He returns. Part of the occupation process requires us to be a good steward of what we’ve been given. This does not simply refer to our time and talents; this is maintaining a nation from which the Gospel can pour out unto all the earth. What does this have to do with voting? Ask yourself this question: if I, as a Christian do not vote, but my neighbor who is a liberal does vote, what influence does that have in my city? In my state? In my nation? Will they vote for Biblical values? Will they vote to protect the life of our preborn citizens? Will they protect Israel? Will they fight to end child trafficking at the border? Will the policies that come out of those candidates my neighbor votes for reflect my values or the world’s values?

It's decision time for all of us.

So, in the most important election in decades, and knowing that we understand that decision time is upon us, as we open our ballots and prepare to fill in the bubble next to the candidates and propositions that best align with our Biblical values what decisions will we be making? Are we filling in the bubble next to the person the media tells us to vote for or are we sitting before the Lord and seeing what He tells us? It is vitally important to remember that our vote is being cast not just for us, but it’s being cast for our posterity: our children. Are we considering the legacy that we are leaving them? Are we leaving them a legacy of hope, the rule of law, and a Constitutional Republic? Are we leaving them a legacy that welcomes the 10 Commandments in every classroom, courthouse, and even the White House? Are we leaving them a legacy or life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness?

Ask yourself, am I voting for someone who wants to grant my child the freedom to fulfill their destiny before God or those who fought to restrict their access to the Bible and/or prayer at every given opportunity?

Am I voting for someone who manipulates or uses the justice system to persecute their opponents or those who pray outside abortion clinics?

Am I voting for policy? Am I voting for the opportunity for our preborn citizens to have the chance to take their first breath. Am I voting to protect the children from the abortion industry’s next assault: transgenderism. Am I voting for national security and safety for my children? Am I voting for a nation to move forward on the path our Founding Fathers set before us when they wrote The Declaration of Independence, The Constitution and The Bill of Rights? Or, am I voting to abolish them? Decision…decision.

Yes, Decision Time is upon us isn’t it?

For those of you who do not know what the parties stand for, it would be of great benefit for you to research this and consider a cheat sheet one of our Joel’s Army State Coordinators put together after researching it herself. These are invaluable as they discuss party values and platforms.

As a ministry we engage in prayer and intercession, but we strongly urge you to vote and even sign up to be a pole watcher. The enemy feels the presence of the children of God, and he shrinks back when your light begins to shine.

I know this letter is full of questions, but I believe it’s important to that we do not move forward blindly but rather, lay those questions before the Lord and let Him shine His light on the answer.

I remind you that we will have a teaching and intensive prayer time over the issues on the Lord’s heart this Thursday and Friday.

Then, next week, the LAST WEEK PRIOR TO ELECTIONS, we will have a PHONE GOE. This will run Wednesday-Friday.

I would encourage you to occupy this great nation: to pray, to vote, to fast, and if the Lord leads you, to be a pole watcher, and be the restrainer of evil you’ve been created to be!

Blessings & love,
Ricci Johnson-Wilson
