The Abundant Life!
Part 5

Nita Johnson


May you be rooted deep in love and founded securely on love, 18 That you may have the power and be strong to apprehend and grasp with all the saints [God’s devoted people, the experience of that love] what is the breadth and length and height and depth [of it]; 19 [That you may really come] to know [practically, through experience for yourselves] the love of Christ, which far surpasses mere knowledge [without experience]; that you may be filled [through all your being] unto all the fullness of God [may have the richest measure of the divine Presence, and become a body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself]!

The above passage (Ephesians 3:17b–19) tells us about God’s desire to bring us to full maturity in the life of His Spirit. There is no end to the flooding and the constant impartations that He gives once you enter into the fullness of Union. He does it repeatedly so that you never, in effect, run dry. Satan wants to suck God’s life out of you, sap it out of you. He wants to beat it out of you. However, the Lord keeps pouring His life into you, and it becomes richer and richer and richer. It is amazing. The Bible says,

Eph 3:19b
Become a body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself!

Can you handle that? I hope so.

Eph 3:20a
Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers…

We cannot pray high enough to touch what He wants to give.

Eph 3:20b
…desires thoughts, hopes or dreams.

It is true. I have been to these higher heights. I thought I knew and understood it all, as Jesus had schooled me in so much. That, of course, was impossible until I had Union. It is more significant than all I had learned, as experience is always more significant than knowledge. We have an eternity to go into these heights. Notwithstanding, we can go through many impartations to take us higher and higher in this life if we pay the price.

That is all He asks. He will give you the grace to do it. He will give you the understanding to walk it out. He will give you the grace to walk it out. Nonetheless, you will not play games with Him. No one will. You do not say one thing on one side of your mouth, and your heart is filled with antagonism to the truth. That has to go.
 
Eph 3:21a
To Him be glory in the Church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever.

How long? Forever and ever.

It is so sad to me. I have been in the ministry for 40 years. I am not bragging; please believe that. I am about to give you a heartbreaking reality. Forty years in the ministry and in the first few years of ministry, Bible school owners and pastors were telling me from one end of this country to the other that had been in the ministry even 40 years that they had never heard such revelation coming out of a Christian as they have heard in me. I was about three years old in God. What I knew then is nothing compared to what I know now. What does that tell you about the Church? Does that not break your heart?

Jesus took me to stand on one side of the Grand Canyon. He said, “Look at this canyon.” I said, “Lord, it is scary, but it is beautiful.” It was scary because it was so deep, but it was beautiful. He said, “It is frightening.” I agreed, “It is frightening, Lord.” He said, “Because if you can span this canyon, you will know how far beneath the knowledge of Me My Church is from where it is supposed to be.”

How are we supposed to plumb the heights if we do not know we are in the depths? The Church lacks teaching because people who do not have the revelation shut down those who do. Some do not have enough love to endure it. However, it is a truth that when it is in you, through and through, my dear brothers and sisters, you would give anything to give it to the Church.

God’s desire, He intends to do the work of building up the Church to what? Let us find out. You all know the passage.

Eph 4:13a
[That it might develop] until we all attain oneness in the faith and in the comprehension of the full and accurate] knowledge of the Son of God, that [we might arrive] at really mature manhood (the completeness of personality which is nothing less than the standard height of Christ’s own perfection)

How high?

Of the Lord’s own perfection!

That is right to the standard height of Christ’s own perfection. You are created to walk in this high place of revelation. It is not just me. He called the whole Church there.

How long do we have to wait? For His Second Coming? Is it long enough for the whole Church to come here? That would be another 100,000 years.

Eph 4:13b
the measure of the stature of the fullness of the Christ and the completeness found in Him.

According to the passage (Ephesians 4:13b), we learn that the Father desires for us to know the completeness of holiness. The completeness of purity. The completeness of love. The completeness of righteousness. The perfection!

Think about the second greatest diamond on earth; I think it is the Hope Diamond. It is a lovely blue diamond. There is only one. How many facets does it have? How many facets does the perfection of Christ have? You put them all together, and you have the blue diamond in Christ.

Notwithstanding, He has not called you to stand alone. Neither did He come here to bear the Cross to stand alone. He came here to get you to stand with Him, in Him. He wants to put you in that multifaceted diamond head and let the glory of the Kingdom shine forth from you. Is not that what I saw today? I saw the glory of the Kingdom shining forth from my face because this Truth I am giving you is the glory of the Kingdom! Do not fail your soul! Do not fail yourself by believing too small or loving the world too much! That is insanity! Do not ever forget it!

Go up higher. Is not that what Heaven said to the Apostle John? Come up here! Come up here! Come up here! That is what He is saying to you. Come up here in knowledge, wisdom, and revelation, and see what I will do!

You have to die if you want to walk in the greatness of the Spirit of life, the resurrection, Spirit of Resurrection. Spirit of Revelation, the Spirit of life---Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost. You have to die to yourself, and I am so glad we are not the ones to make all that happen. All we have to do is learn how to say, “Yes! Yes, Lord! Yes! That is scary, Lord. Yes, Lord! I will, Lord.” That is all we have to learn how to do. He will do the rest.

Eph 4:23-25a 23
And be constantly renewed in the spirit of your mind [having a fresh mental and spiritual attitude], 24 And put on the new nature (the regenerate self) created in God’s image, [Godlike] in true righteousness and holiness. 25 Therefore, rejecting all falsity and being done now with it, let everyone express the truth with his neighbor, for we are all parts of one body.

He understands that we do not understand.

How many are willing to pay the price to understand the fullness of life in Christ? Who would subsequently pay the further price to bring this Truth to the Church? Notwithstanding today, He will round up a group of them who will pay the price to bring this Truth to the Church so that you can grow into the maturity, the completeness found in your Lord. Not so you are acting humble, but that His Person is walking His life out through you.

Is not this exciting? Is not this holy? Is not this just like God?

  • We provide weekend meals for 280 children weekly. Child Sponsorship - $34.99 per month provides essential nutrition to a child in need
  • Shoes
  • Blankets - All sizes
  • Sleeping bags for the homeless
  • Volunteers
  • Diapers (Size 3 & up) & baby wipes
  • Baby Food & Formula
  • $5-$20 Gift cards for Gas for our volunteers who transport the food to and from the Pantry

Most donations can be dropped off during the Pantry or mailed into our office. Tax deductible receipts provided.


Coats & Clothes Closet:
Open Mondays and by appointment. We need volunteers to help organize and prepare clothing for visitors
   
The need is great and our numbers are increasing every week. Please pray that our volunteer base will increase as well!
