Subject: Choosing to Trust: The Truth in your Trials - Part 4

Dear Friends,

We here at World for Jesus Ministries want to express our appreciation to each of you for your commitment to the commission of our Lord upon this ministry. I’d like to thank you, our friends, for your support through the years.

To those in Joel’s Army: whether you participate in a Joel’s Army Prayer Cell (both here and abroad), join the Corporate Calls, or attend and support our Gathering of the Eagles meetings, we thank you for your determination to stand in the gap for the nations. Your reward in heaven will certainly be great.

To those who work with and/or support CedarWood: you are providing food, clothing and even household supplies to many living in abject poverty. This year, our hand is extending into the homeless communities in the Seattle area as well, we ask for your prayers as we embark on this next phase of our CedarWood outreach.

To those who support our missionary outreaches: you make it possible for us to provide for orphans in India, Bible and Pastoral training in Nigeria, Messianic outreaches in Israel, Pastoral support here in the states, and so on. You are enabling the needs of those around the world to be met while they spread the Gospel of our Lord and Savior!

To those who provide us with translation work: countless hours go into this verbal and written work each week. We value the sacrifice of your time-intensive labor every bit as much as those receiving the teachings in their own language do. You make it possible for us to grow together!

“Thank you” just doesn’t seem enough, please know that we do not take your time, your efforts, your financial support, or your commitment lightly. We see how your faithfulness reaches far and wide into the work of the Kingdom and pray you see its stretch as well.

There are times we receive requests from our friends asking if they can serve the ministry in other ways. Perhaps they cannot financially support us, and while they do pray, they have other gifts and talents they’d be happy to offer to serve us in this Kingdom work.

Today, I come before you to make two requests:

Translators: it took years to build up our Chinese translations team and it is well underway. We have an excellent support structure and appreciate all they do. However, our Korean translation has one translator who does the weekly teachings, the website translations, event notifications, all in addition to the GOE simultaneous translation. This a tremendous effort for one person to undertake; keeping in mind our Chinese translation team consists of a minimum of six translators at any given time, the task for this one Korean translator is quite enormous. We need additional Korean translators. If you are fluent in both English and Korean, please contact the office. You can call 559-435-2423 or reply to this email.

This offer is extended to any who are fluent in Chinese, Spanish or Russian as well. Contact the office if you’d like to share this skill-set with WFJM and our friends.

To our sewing community: our second request goes out to those with a talent in sewing. We need some prayer cloths for our Gatherings. When an intercessor kneels on the floor to pray, our ushers cover them with a cloth. This provides a covering for them that’s important when we are in intercession. This may not be a difficult task, but it is time-consuming and very important to our intercessors. If you have a sewing machine and would like to serve the ministry in this manner, please contact the office for details. You can call 559-435-2423 or reply to this email.

Thank you for standing with us, you are true comrades in the varied arms of our ministry!

Much love & many blessings,

Ricci Wilson on behalf of WFJM/CW/JA

CW Expansion Project Update:

So far, we received monthly pledges for a total of $4691 toward the projected monthly budget increase of $6000! We’ve received just over 78% toward our increase! Thank you for standing with us in this endeavor!

At CedarWood, our clients receive more than just food. They receive prayer as well. I’d like to share the following excerpt from our CW Weekly Report: Perhaps you will remember the report from last week about a woman who received prayer for MS. She told us she went back to her doctor for an exam and they found no indication of the disease in her brain, even though she had been told otherwise in previous visits. Praise God! We continue to pray and believe for her complete healing.

This is what you are helping us build; a community that cares for—and reaches out to—one another.

Again, I invite you to participate in our CW Expansion Project with your pledge of support:

Copy and paste the following statement into an email addressed to tiffany.wfjm@gmail.com. She will save your commitment letter and, if you like, sign you up to receive weekly updates with stats and personal stories from our Monday Pantry events. I/We commit to support the expansion work of CedarWood Int’l by my/our donation of ___________per month. I also agree to partner with you in prayer over this outreach and would welcome weekly correspondence providing updates on the CedarWood Pantry efforts.

“Choosing to Trust: The Truth in your Trails"

Part 4

By Nita Johnson
Seattle

Jesus talked about the baptism of fire, and the reason that this is desirable is because when that baptism happens, that fire comes in and begins to expose the dross that needs to be removed. The light of the fire and the heat of the burning expose the impurities, for the purpose of removing them. You may see things about yourself you never knew before. You did not know you did that or were like that because the light is revealing the darkness in you. The fire is revealing what needs to be burned in the dross, and the purpose of the baptism of fire is to create an inner climate where the glory and light of God can reside. When the soul is completely refined, God will so fill your soul with light that if you could open your flesh and see what was in your soul, all you would see is a cavern of light. That is God's goal.

He wants to give to you a greater glory than what was in the face of Moses. The Bible clearly says that the glory that was in the face of Moses was so brilliant that the Hebrew people could not look upon it. He had to cover his face because they could not bear to gaze upon it. I am inquisitive, and I asked the Lord for years, “Please let me see the glory in the face of Moses. What happened to him? What did he look like when he came down the mountain with the glory flashing from his face?”

He answered that prayer unexpectedly. Our team had gone to Africa to minister, and we stopped over in England for the night before moving on the next day. I was in prayer, when suddenly I found myself before Moses. The glory that flashed from his face looked just like the light dancing on the head of a sparkler. Those of us who are older will remember when we were kids and our parents bought us sparklers for the 4th of July. That is exactly how the glory flashed from his face. The flashes of glory were so great that the flashes themselves covered his body. Can you imagine what he looked like on the inside if that is what he looked like on the outside?

The heart and the soul must be greatly purified to contain the glory, and with Moses it was. He walked in union with God. His soul was so purified that it was pure light. God wants to divest the soul of the darkness, once developed by the lack of the knowledge of the light, and the lower nature. He wants to remove the part of us that craves sin. One of the things that Christians do is to misbehave and then they blame someone else for doing it. They say, “You made me so mad!” What happened to our personal choices? We do all kinds of things in our Christian life and then we want to point the finger at someone else about why we have done it. The only bad thing about this business of pointing the finger reveals that we have been touched by the light. This business of pointing the finger at others shuts down the light that would have healed our soul.

When God sends truth into you, you receive light, as truth is light. If there is a color to truth, it is the color of light. Truth is also living. It is not like having a flashlight shining on your heart. It is the embodiment of God who is living light and truth. When truth pierces your heart and you do not want to deal with what the truth is revealing, you respond by blaming it on someone else. What happens with the light and truth? You shut it down, and you lose the growth that you could have had. You can do that just so many times, and God will quit flashing that particular truth into your heart. Then there is no remedy because you have rejected truth. What is going to happen next? The Bible tells us: deception.

You do not ever want to tell God, “No,” when He tries to give you truth. You can say to Him, “This is too painful; I can't deal with it. Give me grace to deal with it so that I don't throw it away.” You can say things like that, but you cannot say no. You cannot blame someone else, blame circumstances, or shove the truth away. You can only do that so many times and it will not be given again.

But you want to go on with God, right? So that means when He shines the light of truth into your heart, mind and soul, and it pierces, it hurts, it brings conviction, and you feel overwhelmed—cry out for grace, but do not stop it. The enemy will try His living best to bring offense so that you will shut down the stream of truth. You must protect your heart from offense. Truth will bring with it offense—I promise you, it will. Truth offends the flesh. If it does not offend the flesh in you, then it will offend the flesh in someone else who will be happy to try to offend you. Do not allow yourself to nurture the offense that truth brings.

To be continued next week…

In Him,
Nita
