From last week…
God wants to give you more than you’ve ever had before; more than you knew you could have in Him. You thought being a Christian was about one thing. Maybe you’ve been saved fifteen or twenty years and you still have this incomplete concept of what it means to be a Christian. Yet His ideas of Christianity are so high, so great, so marvelous, so wonderful, awesome, powerful and other-worldly that when you really get a taste of what you’ve been missing—I think you would want it more than anything.
I’ve told my team members: pray that God will give you an experience so that you can feel what it feels like to walk in union with Christ—to help you create passion and greater desire and help you understand these things I speak about. They have been praying that way and He is doing it. He wants you to want Him in this way. He wants you to be so hungry for God that you will give up the world to have Him.
Now, having said that, I’m going to share the last message on truth. But before I start, I want to share with you a little bit about what union with Christ is, so that you will know what you need to hunger for. One time a while ago, as I was worshipping Him, He suddenly appeared to me and when He appeared to me He was very fat—five hundred pounds fat! Now, before you get your religious finger on, just lay it to the side and don’t even go there. “Ah! Jesus was five-hundred pounds fat? Gasp!” Maybe you’ve never heard this story before, but you need to hear what I am going to say. As He stood before me five-hundred pounds fat, I began to chuckle. I said, “Lord, you’re so fat! You’re so fat!” and He chuckled with me. “Jesus, you’re so fat; you look like you’re five-hundred pounds fat!” He smiled and indeed He was five-hundred pounds fat with truth. Truth was flowing through Him constantly; through His mind and heart; through His soul and spirit.
Now, how do you explain how you see truth flowing through someone? I don’t know how to explain it. Sometimes you get these experiences handed to you and it’s so difficult to explain what you’ve seen, felt or heard to people in human vernacular and that’s where I stand on that. How do you explain what living truth looks like? It has a look. It was like scripture—but it wasn’t—it was flowing through Him. He didn’t think thoughts of fear and doubt and unbelief; His thoughts were the thoughts of God. What did He say? I am the truth. The Bible also says that He is the living Word. I think it is very interesting that the Bible says living Word, so that we understand it’s not just the black and white stuff. He is life; He is the living Word. He’s not just a written word that perishes and corrupts. He is the living Word. That’s why every time He appears to me and talks to me and gives me a teaching, His words create in me life. I feel them; they change the constitution on the inside of me. When He leaves, I am not the same person that I was before He came. He came to change something inside of me; a concept, and understanding, a perception, a reality—that’s what He came to change: our reality—and He does. He exchanges the reality of this lower life for the reality of His life. What an exchange! I love that He said: I am the light of the world. I love that He said that. You don’t even know you need light until you see it, experience it and you’re changed. Then you say, “I needed that; I didn’t know I needed that, but I needed that.” He is the light of the world and He’s the light that changes.
I am having such a very difficult time standing here and such a very difficult time trying to speak to you; Lord you must help me. What was I saying about light?
What can I compare this light to? How can I describe it? It’s like when you come to church and you’re worshipping and He comes upon You with His love and His love begins to permeate your heart and you start weeping because you’re feeling so loved by Him and you say in your mind: I forgot what it feels like to feel that tangible love. Do you understand? That is a measure of light that has just been given to you and it’s changed just a little bit of your heart because you’ve been touched by God. He has imparted something of Himself. I can say, “I love you,” but when I say it, I can’t impart me—I can say it and it’s just words in your heart and mind. You know, I can hug you; you can feel it on the exterior but unless God has released part of Himself through that hug, through that Word, we leave and you’re the same and I’m not lessened by something I’ve given you. But when Jesus says: I love you, He imparts a very part of Himself, He imparts to your heart and to your soul just a little tiny touch of His love and you feel it and you just feel like swooning; you can hardly stand up. He’s given you a little tear drop and you are so overwhelmed with God you can hardly stand up!
Have you ever felt these things? If you have, it’s because He has done more than just give you verbal words. His Words always carry a very part of Himself, so His words are life and He’s given you a touch of His life and you’re free to keep it or you’re free to discard it; whatever you want to do. You don’t have to keep it, but… you silly person, if you don’t.
Truth; what is the difference between law and truth? When God speaks truth into your heart, this is one thing that makes His corrections so much easier because when He speaks truth into your heart and He corrects you with His truth, you feel like you’ve just been touched by love and you say, “Whoa, that felt bittersweet, that felt good although it was hard”—because it’s bathed in love. The law kills and truth makes alive. The law represented the truth but it needed the spirit of love to give life.
So there He is standing in front of me five-hundred pounds fat with truth and He looks wonderful and He says to me: Nita, come and stand next to me. Now, there is much more to this visitation than I am going to share tonight because right now I am going to focus on the aspect of truth. So He says to me: Nita, come stand next to me. So I did. And when I stood next to Him, His arm reached out around me and everything that was inside of me—my lower nature—went down, down, down and out my feet. My love, my joy, my happiness, my sorrow—you know the positives and the negatives; everything that makes me ‘me’ went down, down and out my feet like liquid being poured out of a bottle and when the last drop had seeped out, everything that was going on inside of Him began to fill me. He was living truth and now I’m no longer filled with me; I am filled with living truth because He has exchanged my life for His and that’s what happens in union with Christ. Being filled with living truth, being filled with Him who is truth, makes all things new. Everything is different; nothing is the same anymore. You see everything differently than you’ve ever seen it before because you’re no longer seeing it through the eyes of your soul and the eyes of the sinful nature or the kingdom of darkness that you are living in if you’re not filled and in union with Christ. Though you’re born again you’re still in the world. Now, you know that’s true, right? All you have to do is have one thought of doubt—that’s all—and you know the validity of what I am saying, because there is no such thing as doubt in the kingdom of light.
So there I stood filled with living truth and, boy, was it different. I felt like I had been taken up. Not that I had become God—I had not become God—but I had been taken up into the center of fellowship with Him. I had been totally removed from the spirit of the world. It was out of my heart, out of my soul; it was out of me. The spirit of the world was gone; I was cut away from it and now I am filled only with the spirit of Christ which lifts me up into Him. My soul is now cocooned in Him. What I’m telling you is so extraordinary and after He shared many things with me, spoke many things to me—the visitation lasted a long time—He looked at me and said to me: Nita, would you like to live here? And it was so far beyond any Christian experience that I’ve ever had. It seemed like nothing I’ve ever had or been given before in my Christian walk could have prepared me for the magnificence of where I was at that moment. I said, “Is it possible for a human being to live in this place with You?” That seemed unbelievable to me. He smiled… You know, one thing about Jesus is that He doesn’t repeat Himself very often. “Is it possible for a human being to live in this place with You?” I asked again amazed. “Lord, this is possible?!?”
In His Amazing Love,
