For years I’ve been asking the Lord what are the most important foundational pillars that we need within us to make it through the times ahead. I have been asking Him that question for a long time. So not too long ago we had a gathering in Fremont, California. The gathering was coming to a close and I was going to be ministering on Sunday in the church that we had our gathering in. So I’m spending some time in prayer when the Lord says to me, “I am now going to give you the twelve pillars of the kingdom.” And immediately the visions start flashing so quickly I can’t keep up with them. I had to ask Him to slow down because I didn’t want to miss a single thing. So anyway, that is what I am trying to share with you, the twelve pillars of the kingdom.
Are you concerned about that? Do you care about that? You should, because the days are getting very strange and we just really don’t know from one day to the next what is going to happen, do we? We think the real hard times can’t possibly come in our lifetime—that is what we want to believe—and yet every day something tells us right in our face, not by the spirit but by our lofty media, that what we thought would never happen in America is now happening. And what was once a small snowball rolling down a hill is starting to get larger and larger and it’s getting out of control. Am I right? People want to tell you that it’s going to only last for a season and then things will get back to normal. And—though I am one who loves to give good tidings—I must tell you: it isn’t true. Things are going to get harder and harder because we’re in the end of days. Now, if that’s true about the world, then what needs to be true about you? You need to get stronger and stronger; you need to walker closer to Jesus than you’ve ever walked before. If you’ve ever heard or seen people who walk close to Jesus—you want to hear what they have to say. I can remember learning about a man who has been in union with Christ for many years and I said to the Lord, “I want to meet him; I want to meet this one person who has been in union with you for so many years. I want to see what it looks like for a human being to be walking there now in this lifetime.”
This person lived way far away, continents away, but I didn’t care. I said Lord, “If you open the door, I’ll make the trip.” I want to meet someone who is in union; who walks with You in extraordinary places.
And so God did open that door and I flew half way around the world to spend only one day with this person and I am telling you, it was worth the trip. When you go in that deep, you know things you can’t know anyplace else.
Then I heard of another person and I actually said, “I’d like to talk to her. Lord, please make a way for me to talk to her,” and the Lord made a way. I just knew she was in union; I knew she’d made it. So I’m on the phone, we hadn’t talked for two minutes—we hardly said hello. I said, “Before we go on, I have to ask you a question. I know it’s very presumptuous for someone to do this, but I can’t help it. I’ve got to know because the rest of the conversation is going to revolve around this subject if you tell me what I want to know.” “What do you want to know?” she asked. “Do you walk in union with Christ? Have you gone into union with Christ?” and she said, “How do you know about that?” And I said, “Because I’m headed there too, and I want to know, do you walk in union with Christ?” She said, “Yes.” I said, “When did you enter in?” “Five years ago,” she answered.
So now I’ve met two people in this lifetime walking in union with Christ. When Jesus first spoke to me about it, He said many wonderful things to me but the last thing He said just before He left was: Because I want to encourage you that all I have said to you, you can have, I’m going to move on people to send you books about people in the past who have walked in this place with Me and My spirit is going to take you on a journey through the Word and I’m going to help you see everyone that is in my Word who has entered into this place I have just shared with you.
So He did both; I received the first book within a week. I didn’t know them, but somehow they knew me. How? I don’t know. So this began a library of books that were sent to me by people whose names I didn’t even know—most of them to this very day. But God did that to encourage me just like He said He would do. And then His Spirit took me on a journey through the Word so I knew when Abraham went into union and when many other prophets went into union. He showed me what He showed me to encourage me. He said to me: If I’ve done it for one I will do it for you and I want you to tell my Church: if I will do it for you I will do it for them.
God wants to give you more than you’ve ever had before; more than you knew you could have in Him. You thought being a Christian was about one thing. Maybe you’ve been saved fifteen or twenty years and you still have this incomplete concept of what it means to be a Christian. Yet His ideas of Christianity are so high, so great, so marvelous, so wonderful, awesome, powerful and other-worldly that when you really get a taste of what you’ve been missing—I think you would want it more than anything.
I’ve told my team members: pray that God will give you an experience so that you can feel what it feels like to walk in union with Christ—to help you create passion and greater desire and help you understand these things I speak about. They have been praying that way and He is doing it. He wants you to want Him in this way. He wants you to be so hungry for God that you will give up the world to have Him.
To be continued next week…
