| | | | Even before anyone knew if Prop 64 would be successful, California had been planning and putting together a system to set guidelines and regulations for cannabis to prepare for when it finally did pass. This election was the tipping point for marijuana and California now allows recreational marijuana use, but it comes with certain specifications. The guidelines for the state now has its official name, and that name is MCRSA, but what is MCRSA?

Medical Cannabis Regulation and Safety Act The state of California, working with The Department of Consumer affairs, The Department of Food and Agriculture and The Department of Public Health, have developed the guidelines and regulations for the cannabis Industry. MCRSA also describes the 12 different licensing structures businesses will have to obtain in order to do business legally. Just as all businesses need a license to do business in the state, you will now have to have a specific license depending on what you decide to do in the cannabis industry. MCRSA also goes into detail about the licensing for cultivation, distribution, manufacturing, testing and store front retail.
