Like many other states that have legalized marijuana, Florida is now working out a set of guidelines for medical marijuana. Florida's Department of Health has 6 months from the date of the passing law to come up with regulations for Medical Marijuana Treatment Centers (MMTC).
Amendment 2 law will allow patients with certain illnesses to have access to medicinal marijuana through licensed and compliant Medical Marijuana Treatment Centers and will be given an ID card issued only by a licensed physician. This will make us here in Florida the 26th state to legalize medicinal marijuana for patients.
