The simple pleasure of a single breath.
We breathe several million times mindlessly in our lifetime.
The body, in its wisdom, knows exactly the moment a new breath cycle begins and the exact amount of breath we need to survive the very moment we are experiencing.
What if, for a moment, you relish the breath? Close your eyes. Take the slowest breath available to you. Be mindful of how the wave of the inhale mildly touches the tip of your nostrils, enters the back of your throat, fills your lungs, kisses the shore of your diaphragm before completing the cycle of the breath with the exhale. Remember that you are indeed alive right now. That life is supporting you.
That feels so darn good to connect body, heart, mind, and soul in this very moment. Ah, yes, pleasure. |
