The October Full Moon is called Hunter's moon because it was the ideal time for hunting in the olden days. This is the second full moon of the Autumn season.


This moon represents a time of climax and fruition. For several nights in a row, a large full moon rises shortly after sunset. Before electricity, farmers would take advantage of this bright moonlight when it was time to harvest. Congratulations to Dr. Patti Britton, 4-D Network Legacy Member, on having her life's work included in the esteemed Kinsey Institute! This is a monumental achievement for the entire field of human sexuality.
