Last term saw the children learning lots of names of transports through
bingo and travel games, and marking places in Italy on their maps. We
recently looked at some of the shops and attractions in Milan before
looking at a menu our teacher ordered from after the Monza Grand Prix. The
children enjoyed hearing about pizzas that were ordered, the different
ingredients and talking about what they would order. 

This term, we would like to build on their passion for tasting Italian food
by incorporating ingredient “shopping”, making and ordering. Where the
children make their own mini-pizzas, buy and sell them in class and get to
taste them, as this will give them a really engaging way to remember the
ingredients and practise their tourist phrases.

What's nice about this group is that it's nice and small, so you child gets
their support they need, whatever their age or Italian level.
