I hope this email finds you well and that you enjoyed the Easter holiday?

Our next French club resumes this Thursday, so here’s this term’s
blurb.

Each week, the children gather and eat their snacks or get set up. They
each have a role, which helps their fluency. They share the stationery and
sheets and get ready for the class, all in French.
We welcome new members with a name song and this forms a nice routine for
the younger ones. Often children like to share their news and views, which
we like to hear, but switch it into French as much possible. 

Quick to progress to something tangible as an activity we move onto our
theme. Previously we made a passport to travel round different countries,
learning their names in French. I found the children really enjoyed making
and decorating their passports as much as calling out "Passeports s'il vous
plaît", presenting them to the customers officer with a “Voilà” and
hearing a "C'est bon !"

The club is open to children of all ages at the Duke of Bedford School as
the activities are differentiated and the groups finds a balance nicely.
