I get it, Friend.

It can be scary to really take charge of your lncome.

Because it means that everything falls on you when it fails.

Because you can't just show up to a place and get rewarded on Friday.

But to me, it was always much scarier to let somebody else be in control of my life.

It was always more frustrating knowing somebody else was going to tell me when I could hang out with my family.

When I could take a trip.

Heck... even when I could eat my lunch!

To me, that daily slavery was so much more scary.

And when I got let go from the slavery model 3 weeks before Christmas in 2004.

Without care from my employer that I had a growing family to take care of.

BiIIs to pay.

Mouths to feed.

Babies who needed things.

A weird thing happened when I stopped feeling sorry for myself.

I realized I was more at peace at home.

I realized that it felt amazing to take a nap with my little baby daughter.

I realized that I loved being able to spend more time with my wife.

I realized the scariest thing of all...

Is that my time with them could be wasted away on a daily basis, until it turned into years of missing out on the life I wanted.

So, I drew my line in the sand one day and said...

"I am never going back to the slavery model."

I am going to take control of my time, and my life.

My children are going to know me.

My wife is going to know me.

My time is going to be mine to do what I want with.

And instead of being scary, it was liberating.

I was f.ree to build the future that I wanted.

That was 20 years ago this year.

If your scared of what will happen if you try something new...

I encourage you to start thinking about how scary it will be if you don't.

How scary will it be if all life had for you is all that your settling for right now?

If every year was the same as the last.

You might just find that staying where you are is the most terrifying thing ever like I did.

And you'll want to start getting the skills, tools, and resources to really be f.ree to live the life that God created you for.

Right now... I think this is the best way to do that.
