"Daddy... Are you having a mid-life crisis?"
This is the question Ed Mylett's daughter asked him as he was trying to grow a beard.
If you don't know Ed Mylett, he's one of the most successful men of the last decade or two.
And I personally find him to be pretty awesome, so I listen to his podcast all the time.
His response to his daughter was every bit as awesome as I expected.
He said...
"Honey, I will ALWAYS be in some sort of crisis, but it's not what you think.
He went on to further explain that he feels such a strong calling to help people that he treats it like an EMERGENCY situation that he must continue to get better.
Not as some personal goal...
But, to serve the amount of people that he feels compelled to serve...
He MUST continue to reach new levels of himself.
You feel a calling too, don't you?
To do more.
Have More.
Become more.
Give more.
Me too.
And at some point, we have to stop treating life like we have time.
We don't.
At some point, we have to rush into becoming more.
Doing more.
Accomplishing more.
Not for us.
But, because there are people out there who need us to become the dreams that reside in our hearts.
So they can unlock their own.
By our own human nature, if we think we have time... we'll wait.
So, it's time to make your success an emergency situation.
Because even if it's not for you (although I bet it actually is)...
It IS an emergency situation for the people, causes, and communities that are waiting on you.
And they are waiting.
That dream inside of you is real.
And because you and I are both in an emergency situation, I am here to help you.
I promise I will run with you.
To give you the tools, and knowledge, and skills you need.
And as you become better, so do I.
And the number of people we can help and serve exponentially grows.
But, I can't wait.
I have stayed at my level for too long.
I am in crisis mode.
Emergency mode.
I hear the cries of those who need me to become more.
So I can serve them and lift them up to the next level.
You can't wait any longer either, and I know you feel it.
So here's the plan for the weekend.
This will be your emergency plan.
Then...
This is the step by step ACTION plan that I will walk you through.

Because you don't have time.
This is an emergency and you know it.
It's time to act like it.
Your life may be on fire right now.

You may be drowning right now.
I am not just throwing you a life raft, I am swimming out to save you.
So, let's get you out RIGHT NOW.
Then, rebuild you and your life, so you can rush to help those you are meant to serve.
Because they are in crisis too...
You are their only hope.
And that is why God placed you here.
To help them.
