I was listening to Seth Godin today (who is awesome), and he said something that I have been thinking about a lot lately.
In fact, it seems like the message keeps following me.
So, I am making sure to pay attention, because this is a failure that will kill your business...
So, pay attention to what Seth said when asked...
"Seth, why do most businesses fail?"
"Businesses fail when they start focusing on themselves and not their customers."
It's funny that I heard that again, because I actually wrote an email yesterday about how to experience freedom in every area of your life.
It had the subject "Freedom Looks Like This" and you should go find it as soon as you're done here.
Because like today's message, it's the difference between becoming one of the 95% of businesses that fail, and the 5% that thrive in any economy or global event.
Here's what to take away right now though.
Burn this into your brain.
(If what you want is a long term business that provides abundance, freedom, and purpose)
Your business is not your product(s).
It's not your sales funnel.
It's not even your list (but that's close).
Your Business is Your CUSTOMERS!
It's the people you are serving.
So, if you are not getting results, here's the key.
Focus on GIVING a result to others.
Stop focusing on getting.
And as I said yesterday, obsess on getting your customers the results THEY seek.
They will want everything you offer for life.
They will literally become evangelists for you and your business.
Here's the hard truth in all of that...
If you aren't getting RESULTS for your customers, you don't deserve the results (abundance, freedom, purpose) or whatever it is you seek.
