It is common for a First Time Leader to want to know how they can motivate their team. I would add that is a good question to ask and reply that anyone who is in a job is already motivated to do the work so they can keep their job. A better question to ask is how can a leader tap into the existing motivation that is already there? A follow up question that comes up would be how to sustain that motivation over the longer run? I take the perspective that most team members are already motivated. The focus of this video would be on answering the two questions of tapping into their existing motivation and keeping your team members motivated. |
