I mailed out a couple of books last week.
 
Maybe it is because it is coming to the end of the year, and there is the opportunity for some down time and reflection.
 
In one example, one team leader bought a copy as a gift to one of her higher performing team member, who does not want to be a ‘leader’, but already exhibits many of the essential behaviours.
 
She was hoping that my book would help that team member see that to have a bigger influence in life, one has to be a leader.
 
In another example, a HR manager bought a copy because he has a new employee who is going into unfamiliar territory at work, and is hoping that the book will provide some inspiration.
 
Whatever the reason might be, sometimes hope is inspired when there is a resource at hand.
 
Avi and I wrote the First time leadership book to equip knowledge workers with the essential leadership skills to lead.
 
In short, everyday I do what I can to transform knowledge workers into leaders.
