As a First Time Leader, you want your team to work together, to listen to you, and follow your direction. All that depends on the strength of the relationship that you have with them, which in turn are dependent on the amount of trust and influence in that relationship. Building relationship is something that requires time, however when you contribute to the success of others, you can shorten that time.
