Dear Friend
Kids are amazing!
Have you read the humorous kids’ property law?
Here it is.
1. If I like it, it's mine.
2. If it's in my hand, it's mine.
3. If I can take it from you, it's mine.
4. If I had it a little while ago, it's mine.
5. If it's mine, it must never appear to be yours in any way.
6. If I am doing or building something, all the pieces are mine.
7. If it looks like mine, it is mine.
8. If I saw it first, it's mine.
9. If you are playing with something and you put it down, it automatically becomes mine.
10. If it's broken, it's yours.
While mine, mine, mine is an all-familiar kids talk, life is about giving, sharing and showing care to others.
An anonymous person shared the story of her second month of nursing school.
“During my second month of nursing school, our professor gave us a pop quiz. I was a conscientious student and had breezed through the questions until I read the last one:
'What is the first name of the woman who cleans the school?"
Surely this was some kind of joke. I had seen the cleaning woman several times. She was tall, dark-haired and in her 50s, but how would I know her name? I handed in my paper, leaving the last question blank. Before class ended, one student asked if the last question would count toward our quiz grade. Absolutely, said the professor.
"In your journey through life, you will meet many people. Everyone is significant. They deserve your attention and care, even if all you do is smile and say hello".
Shalom,
