How many sources of leads do you have funneling into your business? Are you happy with the results? If it would benefit you to have more leads and a better way to track them, then check out these 10 Strategies:

  1. Have your QR Code bookmarked on your phone. If you are not wearing your badge and lanyard, you can still crush it in a networking environment. Touch your QR code icon, have them scan it and voila, you have just exchanged information with them. 

  2. Teach your colleagues your keyword and number. Teach them your simple keyword and the number 321-421-5213. Time and time again our clients have had their associates deliver their card to one of their friends, and many times it has resulted in new business for the card owner.

  3. Always, ALWays, ALWAYS mention your keyword and number when you are in a networking environment and you are giving your elevator pitch. You are doing this for two reasons: 1) to emblazon your keyword and number on as many associates as possible, so they can easily refer you, and 2) get the people in the meeting who have not yet texted you to take action.

  4. Join our private events. We have monthly events that combine networking, learning, and sharing information among all the savvy entrepreneurs who have one of our digital cards.

  5. Follow up, follow up, FOLLOW UP!! You have an incredible resource at your fingertips — a portal that provides access to the cell phone numbers and names of those who have texted your keyword. You can text them back or even call them. Automate as much as you can.
For Everyone:

  1. Be consistent with your brand. Part of what we do is to make you memorable. You can extend that by making sure your brand is consistent across your digital card, your website and all of your social media outlets.

  2. Stand OUT!! Single yourself out in the industry in some way. I am known as the Godfather of the digital business card. I have helped other people discover a perfect persona so that people associate them with the business that they are in. Find something within your business that makes you eager to wake up every day and run with it.

  3. Use (but do not overuse) AI whenever appropriate. ChatGPT can be used to formulate Facebook ad copy, website content, and social media posts. Edit them to ensure that they conform to your brand.

  4. Get yourself out there! Trade shows, in-person and or virtual networking events. You just never know who you’re going to meet at any given time. By skipping events you might have missed out on meeting that gate keeper who would have referred a lot of business to you.

  5. Ask your clients for reviews and video testimonials. Create a folder on your Google drive to make it easy for them to upload a video testimonial. Post your link for people to add a Google review. DO NOT ask people who have not done business with you to provide a testimonial. It will come across as inauthentic and will be more of a detriment than an asset.
