As I'm sure you all know the service I use to distribute your texts, Txt180.com, has had their numbers suspended (both 77948 and 21000). I just got off the phone with them. The issue was one of their customers sent out a message (to fewer than 100 people) that violated compliance and the carriers immediately flagged them and suspended their number without warning or allowing them to respond..

As you know this is a shared short code so it not only affects you all, but many other businesses as well. The company has been in existence 10 years and this is their first occurrence of something like this. They have assured me they have been working 18 hour days to send in the necessary paperwork and other requirements to satisfy the carriers. They told me they should hear something by this afternoon.

The good news is that there is a short-term backup plan (which I will reveal only if it is needed) that still involves txt180. 

More good news: This has triggered me to seek alternative options. I hope that within three months I will have a way to address all whatsApp users in the US and Canada in a similar way, for little or no upcharge to you. I also hope to have my own vanity short code within 6 months. (The number 21000 is available in Canada!!!) When I get my own code(s) I will formulate ALL the messages which make it impossible for something like this to happen again.
