It was really just a mish-mash of random sticky notes on a wall! |
|
We knew that, when we visited the huge Dymocks bookshop in Melbourne in August 2015 and suffered a galloping case of 'imposter syndrome', fuelled by a comparison between our early ramblings and the gorgeous, polished books on the shelf there. |

Then, yesterday, the image below was sent to us by a friend — taken in Dymocks, Melbourne (without her realising the significance). |

After that, we checked our Amazon reviews. Maybe we were ‘proper authors’ after all. Every time we get stuck in self-doubt and feelings of 'comparisonitis' and not being 'good enough’ we’ll be reminded of this. Reminded that it's well worth pushing through those natural insecurities at the start of a piece of work or a project.
We don't know where something will lead when we allow ourselves to be challenged and to grow beyond where we're comfortable, and embrace the 'work in progress' nature of much of what we do.

'I dare you to read it ... you will be changed.'
‘Fabulously practical!’
‘Ravenously good!’
‘Brilliant!’
‘A breath of fresh air.’
‘This book has changed my life.’ |
