| | | | We haven’t seen the new Ghostbusters movie yet, but we hear it’s a riot. There’s always been something about the Ghostbusters ‘team’ (whether male or female) that made us smile. Is it that idea of having a ‘motley crew’ of reliable people you can depend upon when you need them? Reminded us of our families!
We’ve been reflecting on the idea of a having your own team or village this week, while Audrey’s family has been in Canberra ahead of our Friday workshop, having a mini break during the South Australian school holidays. It has given us a wonderful chance to spend precious time together (instead of our daily phone calls interstate) and introduce our husbands and children to each other.

My 15 Minutes, for us, is so much more than just a business. It’s an extension of our support network and a source of deep friendship and love.
One of the highlights for us was when our parents met for afternoon tea in Adelaide, just a few months before Audrey’s dad passed. Emma’s parents were on a driving holiday across the country and it is particularly special that they were able to meet. It was testament to the strength of our work together that this meeting felt so important.
Since then, we’ve each met the other’s sisters, best friends, neighbours and even ex-colleagues! In fact, most of those people — sisters, friends etc — are now Facebook friends with each other, in their own right. The My 15 Minutes ‘family’ has taken on a life of its own!
It’s why we’re so excited about meeting face-to-face with people in our community in Canberra at Friday’s workshop. There’s going to be a lot of warmth and excitement in the room!
