Subject: You are not your khakis

even with the best cotton dockers on earth

There are stats out there where I can tell if someone opened one of our emails or downloaded a podcast. However, it's near impossible to know if someone actually read or listened unless they give us written or verbal feedback.

Now, chiming in on every show or email isn't necessary, but it's nice to know people take the time to compliment (or criticize).

I have no control over the listening or reading habits of others. I do have control over what I write and say.

People may like it. They may not. I'm here either way.

As a result of my emails, several folks have expressed interest in the Tom Woods School of Life. Some folks dismissed them. Totally fine. It's not for everyone.

A few people on my list that are already in Tom's school have given me a hearty "thumbs up."

I'm glad to answer questions, either way.

Like I've said in previous emails, Tom's School of Life is the best professional development I have ever been a part of.

As always,

Brian

P.S. — One of the questions I get asked the most about Tom's school goes something like, "Is it worth it?"

I can't really answer that other than to say, "From my perspective, it is remarkably affordable."

Are you going to go from broke to millionaire in two weeks? Probably not.

But… there's a good chance you'll see the world and business in an different light. A shift in "mindset."

The words of Tyler Durden, Brad Pitt's character from the 1999 cult classic Fight Club come to mind:

"You are not your job.

You are not how much money you have in the bank.

You are not the car you drive.

You are not the content of your wallet.

You are not your f***ing khakis."

At the very least, if you can realize you are not your khakis, the School is worth its weight in cotton. Though it is much more than that...
