A great leader is someone who has a vision—one where he continuously imagines the perfect outcome to every situation. As a baseball coach, I would constantly plan, continually imagining all "theoretical" outcomes. But… nothing ever went as planned. The human element usually came into play. Dale Carnegie once commented, "When dealing with people, remember that you are not dealing with creatures of logic, but with creatures of emotion." When the human element (or the weather element) threw a wrench into our plans on the diamond, my friend, mentor, and Hall of Fame coach, Mike Clopton, simply said, "We adjust." It sounds simple, but it takes some discipline to adjust your plan and vision rather than start blaming others or make excuses. We adjust. And such it is in life. A game of vision and adjustment. Our business (and personal) coaching program offers one-to-one sessions and we also have small groups that work together in a mastermind-type of setting. We've even brought back our "warpspeed" consults for the time being. Fifteen-minute sessions to see if we may be a fit. In honor of "Cyber Monday" there is a steep discount. Currently ZERO dollars until spaces fill up. Click here: As always, Brian |
