Subject: Please say no.

Not to me, though.

"No" is a powerful word.

It is even more powerful as a full sentence.

No. No? No!

Saying "no" is an important leadership skill. Saying "no" is also hard.

But we do hard things here.

Don't go out of your way to be a jerk, but get comfortable saying "no."

What kind of things or folks am I talking about?

  • Takers not givers. Those who "take" life.

  • Whatever is not helping you grow.

  • The expectations of others.

  • Things you don't value.

  • Things you don't believe in.

  • Things you do just to please others.

  • That which is not serving your life's mission and purpose.

  • Anything that feels "draining."

  • People who don't fully support your evolution into one of life's champions. In other words, "bad teammates."

Start saying "no" today.

The late Jim Camp, once known as the "World's Most Feared Negotiator," wanted to get to "No" in each negotiation. Then the real negotiation starts.

We put together a Jim Camp Resource Page that lays out the groundwork of Camp's approach.
