Subject: Massive action

"Search your parks in all your cities," said David Ogilvy, known as the Father of Advertising. "You'll find no statues of committees."

Great people take massive action. That's why they are great. And historical.

Committees discuss things.

As great as the greatest people are, nobody does this alone. Great people are typically a part of great teams.

On championship ballclubs, star ballplayers and enigmatic managers or coaches are often the ones who eventually get the statues outside the stadium. It's the generals who  often end up being sculpted in bronze. Throughout history, iconic figures are the ones chiseled out of rock.

Entire teams? Whole armies? Family and friends of history's most famous?

No. Hardly if ever. Maybe in a painting.

Every one of those great people, however, had a team behind them.

Teamwork is the:

  • willingness to work together toward a common mission and purpose.

  • ability to put the goals of your organization ahead of personal benchmarks.

  • skill required to direct individual ambitions toward the achievement of organizational objectives.

  • fuel that allows common folk to attain uncommon results.

Someone eventually gets the glory, but most of the time it is because, first, they were a great teammate.

I look forward to being on your team.

Now, if you've got this far and don't know what I'm talking about, thank you for your persistence. But, I sent an email about my new Inner Sphere program on Saturday we're going to require a meeting to discuss what it is we're all about … before we start.

The options are:

&/or

We officially get underway on Thursday, May 30.

But, first, make sure to attend the webinar or book a 1:1 with me. Or else, you're back on the waiting list.

As always,

Brian
