Why aren't you consistent enough? You tell yourself that you are supposedly committed to this or that … but can't get it done. No time. Poor scheduling habits. The daily grind of life getting in the way… A lack of consistency, perhaps?
Honestly, I'm not nearly as consistent as I'd like to be. But, I'm working on it. If these problems are plaguing you too, I'm not going to beat around the bush — it is your fault. Take responsibility. Remember O'Leary's First Law: Nice is not a virtue. However, if you want to fix the problem, understanding why you are inconsistent is a great starting point. There are many factors to consider, but here are 5 worth drilling down on. You have an underlying fear or anxiety about what you are doing. Perhaps you lack confidence in yourself. You have little to no clarity of thought. It's also likely that you have no action plan. You say you want something, but — in your heart of hearts — you really don't think it is possible. You're living a lie. There's no negative effect when you don't do it. There are no stakes or the stakes aren't high enough to worry about. Your plate is full. What is likely happening is that either what you want or what you are doing is not aligned with your stated mission.
Think about it. As always, Brian P.S. -- A bonus consideration is to simply blame Joe Biden. It's reasonable, but not helpful. P.P.S. — Go to http://OLeary.Coach and find out how we may be able to help you further. Any other questions, respond to this email and we'll get back to you promptly. |
