We all live with, what I call... "our inner critic."
When I was in high school, one of the popular guys asked me to go out with him.
My "friends" were pretty upset, and basically said
"who do you think are?"
It was like:
You're not good enough for him.
I broke the date and never saw him again.
Why?
Because my "inner critic" agreed with what my friends were saying.
"They're right," I told myself.
"who do I think I am?"
Today, I don't let anybody tell me what to think, especially about myself.
That's because I fired my inner critic a long time ago and replace it with self respect and high self esteem.
Now, I don't "think" who I am. I know.
That doesn't mean I think I can do anything or be anyone I want.
It means I know who I am, what I'm capable of and what I'm not.
It's not conceipt or over confidence.
It's understanding who I am at each and every moment.
I know my strengths.
I know my weaknesses.
I know myself.
Like nobody else does.
How do you treat your "inner critic?"
