If you want to build a successful and profitable online business, you should be looking high and low for tire kickers.
These are the folks that you get for free with your "lead magnet" or other "ethical bribe."
I know you've heard that you do NOT want these people on your list.
I'm telling you that you do.
The more people you get onto your list and reading your blog and visiting your Facebook page...
the more of a chance you have to convert them into buyers of your products and services.
Today, I'll talk just about your email list.
There are 2 tricks, here, that you need to keep in mind.
#1 You need to get people onto your email list who are interested in what you do.
That means, don't trick them into joining with "blind" offers that don't really say why they should join your list.
Don't tell them "join my list to get my secret of building a great business."
NO secrets.
Tell them, "join my list to see how I used Facebook marketing to build a great online business."
Now, when people join your list you know they're interested in (1) FB marketing, and (2) online business.
#2 Get them off your list if they're not engaged.
Monitor your email list carefully.
When somebody has not opened an email for, let's say, 60 days... just deleted them.
They're not engaged, so there's no reason to email them and mess up your open rates... your auto responder service looks carefully at your open rate to decide if your emails are well targeted.
It will effect how many people actually get your emails delivered.
BONUS TIP
Gather everyone... even people not engaged with your emails...
put everyone on a custom Facebook list (use the FB pixel to do that).
Now, you can post on Facebook directly to those people.
Just because your tire kickers don't open your emails, it doesn't mean they won't read your Facebook posts and offers.
That's a whole new place to engage them.
Lots of people who don't look at email, DO look at their FB feeds.
